Note:

    1. Since 2001 the adult rate has applied to those aged 18 years and over. Prior to that, the adult rate only applied to those aged 20 years and over.
    2. The youth minimum wage has been replaced by a minimum wage for new entrants, as of 1 April 2008, which applies to some employees aged 16 or 17 years. Other employees aged 16 years or over are entitled to the adult minimum wage.
